The story of Verity novel begins with a woman writer Lowen Ashleigh who is going through a bad phase for a couple of months as her mother died after battling with Colon Cancer for a long time.

On the pedestrian road, Lowen encountered a handsome guest and publisher Jeremy Crawford, coincidently who is coming to meet her at her office to discuss about his wife Verity Crawforda’s book.

A book that Verity was also unable to pursue is called “The Noble Virtues” which she couldn’t finish due to bad health, that’s why looking for a good writer who can complete her book.

At the first meeting, Lowen and Jeremy share their professional experience as well as life moments and form a good bond. 

Jeremy offered Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars to Lowen as a fee to write the last three volumes of the incomplete series that Verity has left.

Lowen accepted the deal and agrees to travel to Verity’s office situated in Vermont to collect all the essential notes associated with the book. Lowen’s lawyer warns Corey to be careful after knowing about the suspected car accident story of Verity Crawford.

Lowen arrived at Verity’s house after 6 hours of long driving, where she meets with a five-year-old boy named Crew, shes also collect essential information and documents about the book.

During the exploration of space, Lowen eventually finds an autobiography of Verity also known as Manuscript, through the manuscript she gets to know about the relationship between Verity and Jeremy Crawford, starting from their first meeting to their extreme sex life.

She also comes to know about the suspect personality Verity has, and Verity also involves in the murder of her daughter as Lawen thinks when reading the manuscript. Lowen also read how Verity neglects and hates their twin Harper and Chastin.

The story moves forwards, and Lowen and Jeremy come closer to each other and develop a special relationship in between, they also unwind and have sex on her 32nd birthday.

Lowen finally informs about the manuscript to Jeremy, gives him, and asks him to read it. After reading the manuscript, Jeremy threatens to call the police.

As soon as Vertity opens her eyes, Jeremy started to choke her but is interfered with by Lowen and she tries to stop him. But Jeremy doesn’t stop and tells Lowen how Verity tries to kill his son Harper when he was a child.

Finally, Jeremy choked Verity and she dies immediately. Jeremy and Lowen vow to never discuss this incident further in their life.

And they both obey what they promised to each other after the incident occurred between Jeremy Verity, but how long the truth can be hidden?

The story doesn’t end here, after seven months death of Verity, Lowen, and Crew arrive again at Verity’s office, and during that time Lowen discovers a letter from Verity, which tells that the manuscript was a fictional exercise for adopting the villainous characters.

Lowen was speechless while reading the letter, but the question arises, What is real and true: Manuscript or Letter? Is Jeremy a psycho-killer?
