The Time Traveler’s Wife starts with a chapter called First Date, One, Clare Abshire, a 20 year old beautiful art student explores the books at the Newberry Library in Chicago.

The book runs on two alternative perspectives, one is Clare, and the other one is Henry’s perspective.

At Newberry Library, Clare runs across a man named Henry DeTamble, an adventuresome librarian. Clare recognized him as soon as her eyes glance at him whereas Henry doesn’t know Clare as of now.

Henry currently works at Newberry Library who never seen her before in present time and he is politely looking at Clare and finally asked is there something, I may help you with.

During a date with Henry in 1990, Clare reveals how Henry told her in the past that they are going to marry in the future.

As Henry is born with a genetic disorder that is the reason he may be able to surpass the time but it happens unpredictably which means Henry can’t travel according to his desire and also can’t prevent himself.

His health is severely damaged due to all the uncertain and unpredictable trips. When he returns from a different time he is injured, bleeding his body, and always spotted naked as he can’t carry anything while traveling to a timeline.

Now we have moved to the second chapter named Christmas Eve in 1989 when Henry is 40 and Clare is 17. Clare is sitting in her grandma’s room and sees a garden, she has not seen Henry for almost two months.

During a walk over the rise, Clare suddenly halts as soon as she sees Henry standing in the clearing. His hair started graying and he looks tired too. They talk through their expression and didn’t talk physically.

Further, The Time Traveler’s Wife pdf book moved to the third part, Christmas Eve, December 24-26, the encounter takes place again when Henry is 28 and Clare is 20 now. They both have a beautiful conversation in the car and discussed their past life to consider their present state.

Furtherly we are introduced to a new name Alba, a daughter of Henry and Clare and surprisingly she is born with the same ability which his father has, yes she can travel in time too like his father.

On the other side, Henry’s health day by day getting worse and come to a wheelchair too when he finds himself naked in extremely cold during his time travel flashes.

Near the end of the novel, when Henry travels to the future, he comes to know that he is mistakenly shot at the age of 43 by Clare’s brother while he is hunting. It is certain now henry will die at 43.

Later, Henry dies when his daughter Alba is five years old. His demise completely breakdown Clare into tears and devasted too. Clares finds a letter written by Henry before his death, he mentioned “Stop Waiting” for him and ruining her further life.

He also describes a future moment in the letter when they meet again. Further ahead in time in 2053, They reunite when Clarey is 82 and Henry is 43.

The ending scene shows Clare is still waiting for Henry in her very old age which shows the depth of their relationship.
